The Best of Lanka is a five-day guided motorcycle adventure that takes you through some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic and diverse landscapes. Starting on the west coast in Negombo, riders are welcomed with the sea breeze and a relaxed introduction before the journey truly begins. From here, you ride northward along the coast to Kalpitiya, a peaceful peninsula known for its unspoiled beaches and rich marine life. On day one, there is an optional dolphin- and whale-watching tour, adding a unique marine dimension to the tour.
On day two, you leave the coastline behind and head inland toward Sigiriya, traversing rural landscapes dotted with rice paddies, spice gardens, and traditional Sri Lankan villages. You’ll have the opportunity to visit a spice garden, learn about the fragrant crops, and even buy some spices to take home.
Day three is dedicated to exploring Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you’ll climb the ancient rock fortress, admire its water gardens, and enjoy panoramic views. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Dambulla Cave Temple, another architectural marvel filled with statues and murals.
On day four, riders journey into the scenic Knuckles Mountain Range, winding through dramatic landscapes to reach Riverston, a quiet mountain town. The views here are lush and captivating.
Finally, day five brings you back to Negombo via peaceful country roads. Along the way, there’s a stop at a tea plantation, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea and enjoy a tea tasting. The journey ends in Negombo, where you return the motorcycle and reflect on an unforgettable ride through history, nature, and culture.
